Google Workspace promo code not working: 9 fixes that actually work
Most rejected codes come down to the same few problems: the code was used, it's for a different plan, or it's being applied in the wrong place. Here's how to fix each one.

Quick answer
The three most common reasons a Google Workspace promo code fails are: someone already used it (each code works once), it's for a different plan than the one you picked, or you're entering it on an existing paid account.
The fastest fix is to copy a fresh code for the exact plan you're buying and apply it during sign-up.
9 reasons your Google Workspace promo code isn't working
1
The code has already been used
Each Google Workspace promo code is single-use. Once another business redeems it, it stops working for everyone. Codes posted on forums and Reddit are often gone within hours.
Fix: click "Code used? Try another" on our promo code page to copy a new one.
2
The code is for a different plan
Codes are tied to a specific plan. A Business Starter code won't apply if you selected Business Standard, and the other way round.
Fix: check which plan the code is for and select that same plan at checkout.
3
You already have a paid account
Promo codes are meant for new Google Workspace customers. Once billing has started on an account, the promo field usually disappears or rejects the code.
Fix: apply the code during sign-up or while you're still on the free trial, before you set up billing.
4
The code is for another country
Codes are issued for a billing country and currency. A code meant for the US may not work for an account billed in the UK, India or Egypt.
Fix: make sure the country you chose at sign-up is the one you'll be billed in, or request a regional code.
5
There's a typo or an extra space
Codes are long strings of letters and numbers. A missing character, a mixed-up 0 and O, or a space copied at the end will cause an error.
Fix: use the copy button instead of typing, and delete any space before or after the code.
6
The account is managed by a reseller
If you bought Workspace through a reseller or hosting company, billing runs through them, and Google's promo codes can't be applied.
Fix: ask your reseller for their own discount, or sign up directly with Google to use a promo code.
7
Another discount is already applied
Only one promotion can usually apply to a subscription. If your account already has an offer, a new code won't stack on top.
Fix: compare the two offers and keep the bigger saving.
8
The code has expired
Promo codes run for a set period. An old code from a blog post or email may simply be past its date.
If you've tried a fresh code for the right plan and country and it still fails, send us a request. Tell us your plan, country and number of users, and we'll email you an unused code, usually within one business day.
You can also start the 14-day free trial now and apply your code when you set up billing, so a code problem never holds up your setup.
FAQ
Why is my Google Workspace promo code invalid?
Usually because it's already been used, it's for a different plan or country, or you're applying it to an account where billing has already started.
Can I use a Google Workspace promo code on an existing account?
Generally no. Codes are for new customers and are applied during sign-up or during the free trial, before billing begins.
Can I use two Google Workspace promo codes?
No. Only one promotion applies to a subscription at a time.
Do Google Workspace promo codes work on the flexible plan?
Many do, but some offers only apply to certain billing plans. Check the order summary before you pay to confirm the discount is applied.
